Adding webhooks for a GitHub Marketplace listing

After listing your app you can add webhooks to notify you when specified events are triggered.

  1. In the upper-right corner of any page, click your profile photo, then click Settings. Settings icon in the user bar
  2. Depending on the GitHub Marketplace listing for which you'd like to add webhooks, click either OAuth Apps or GitHub Apps.

    Tip: You can also add webhooks by navigating to https://github.com/marketplace/manage.

  3. Select the app listing whose webhooks you'd like to add.

  4. Click Edit Marketplace listing.
  5. Click the Webhooks tab to add Webhooks for your app.
  6. Click Add webhook.
  7. In "Payload URL", type the payload URL for your app's webhook.
  8. In the "Content type" dropdown, select the content type for your app's webhook.
  9. In "Secret", type the secret token for your app's webhook.
  10. Select the events the webhook should trigger.
  11. Click Add webhook.
