About GitHub Marketplace

GitHub Marketplace connects you with developers that want to use your app to extend and improve on the functionality of GitHub. You can list free and paid GitHub Apps and OAuth Apps in GitHub Marketplace.

Users who install an app from GitHub Marketplace pay with their existing GitHub payment method.

Before listing an app on GitHub Marketplace, you'll need to set up and register a GitHub App or OAuth App. For more information, see "Setting up and registering GitHub Apps" and "Setting up and registering OAuth Apps."

Once you create a listing for your app, your listing will go through a review process with GitHub. While the listing is under review, GitHub will communicate additional information, such as payment details, as part of the onboarding process.

Note: As part of the Marketplace Developer agreement, GitHub receives a 25% revenue share from GitHub Marketplace listings.
